It's the person who makes you feel connected in real time. The one who sees you, who understands what it is that you're going through, because they've been there too. And that's what today's episode is all about.

Hey there. Welcome to Simplify Podcasting. I am your host Jen Rogers, and you are listening to episode four of five this week. On how you can grow your show with one small step that will have a ripple effect. There are many reasons for podcasting 

The premise of this show is we want to podcast to serve and make money. That's why we want to monetize every episode. In episode number 2 64, the first of this series, I invited you to offer an opportunity for your audience to connect with you through coffee chats. Just have a 15-minute conversation [00:01:00] with people in your audience, to see how they're doing, to see what kind of things they're struggling with, so you can create resources that respond to their current need.

Remember, our audiences are changing all the time, and so are we. So the perspectives and the knowledge, the wisdom, the experience that we have, it shifts as we work with more and more clients.

So be sure you're regularly touching base with your clients. That's why this 15- minute chat is so powerful. You're not selling anything, you are not pitching anything. Alright, let's hop into day number four. super, super simple thing you can do [00:03:00] today. It's a tiny step that will have a ripple effect. Are you ready? Here it is. Look at your Dream 100 list. Who is it that you want to invite as a guest on your show, or who is it that you want to guest on? Whoever that is, go to their show and leave them a glowing review.

Make sure you've listened to one of their episodes so you can be specific in your review. Because podcasting reviews are hard to come by.

Here's what you do to leave a ripple effect with a review for the show.

Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: Once you hit submit, send a quick message to the host, letting them know how much you appreciate their show, whether you can find them on socials, whether you can comment on a post on their feed, whether you can send them an email. There is a way you can connect with them. So let them know you've, let them a review.

And that's it. No pitch, [00:04:00] no ask. Just a real genuine, Hey, I really love your show. Thank you so much. Because sometimes the most extraordinary doors open when you show up with no agenda. It's not about what somebody can do for you. It's about you giving something that you know if you host your own show, you definitely want reviews.

You definitely wanna hear from your audience, so give to someone else what it is that you're asking someone to give to you. That's how you grow your show. Connect with your audience. It's one small step, one little ordinary spark, a moment of generosity, and a thank you that builds trust.
