[00:04:38] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: You know how I often share about the 18 inches between a listener's earbuds and their hearts. It is sacred ground. It truly is a holy place to be. It's a place of building trust.
[00:04:55] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: Listen, your audience may see your content and they might like your content, and they might comment on your content, but they don't necessarily feel connected to you.
[00:05:07] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: And in this economy where everybody, it feels like everybody's a little bit on edge. Timing feels unpredictable. There are so many unknowns that we tend to focus on, that people's belief starts to shrink, and that's where you come in.
[00:05:26] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: That's where your voice comes in to build back their belief, to stand in the gap for them as they are listening to you so they can see what is possible when they get to know you more.
[00:05:42] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: If you've been in business for a while, I suspect you experienced what we all experienced in 2024, that things were getting really weird. It was harder to sell. It was harder to create connection. Things have only [00:06:00] progressed to a, Hmm. A more, uh, what, how do I wanna say it? That it's contracted when everything around you feels tense.
[00:06:11] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: When there's tension in the world, when there are so many unknowns, it's so easy to shrink back. But we know that we are called for such a time as this right now to stand in the gap of unbelief so we can fill that for our clients and help them see that despite what's happening in the economy, despite what's going on in the world, they can make a difference.
[00:06:39] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: They can still pursue that God-given dream that they have. While you pursue yours. We know that nobody wants any more information. What we want is that connection. We want to resonate with things we believe in. And the way to create
[00:06:59] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: resonance with your ideal clients? Is to build something different than a bunch of social media posts. So what do you build? Instead of more reels and more posts and more tweets, more quote unquote visibility, you build your podcast.
[00:07:16] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: It's kind of like your podcast is the central nervous system of your content strategy. Instead of trying to be everywhere, build this well, this one place where your best clients binge your best thinking. And from there, that's where you'll pull your quotes for your captions, and you'll create some reels from episode highlights.
[00:07:41] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: You write emails based on key takeaways of each episode . One episode becomes your week of marketing and this week of marketing, it is scalable. This week of marketing is strategic, and this week of [00:08:00] marketing all based on the central nervous system of your podcast is sustainable.

[00:08:35] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: Action. Step number one. Take a look at your last five pieces of content. Let's audit them. Here are a couple questions to consider. One, how does this piece of content build trust? Number two. How does this clearly communicate the value I'm offering? Or was it just content for content's sake? So audit your last five pieces of content, and the bonus question to ask yourself is this, how does this content tie back to my central nervous system, my last podcast episode?
[00:09:16] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: And the second action step is this: Write down the number one misconception your clients have before working with you. What's the number one misconception your clients have before they come and join you? Then, jot down three things you would say to help shift that belief. Bonus! That's a podcast episode waiting to be created.
[00:09:44] Jen Rogers, Podcast Strategist: This is exactly how we escape the content hamster wheel. That we know, the podcast episode, the central nervous system we are creating, is solving a problem, and as [00:10:00] we solve the problem on the episode, we create content that leads people to want to come and listen to the episode.
